Note: I posted the same question in the CCVP forum, but haven't received any replies and thought maybe some CCIE-Voice people might know the answer.
This may be a dumb question, but my knowledge of e&m signaling is limited, so here goes. I am using a 3845 as a voice gateway, with T1 CAS (e&m-wink-start) on one side and SIP on the other. If i place a call to one of the SIP phones and it returns a 486 busy here SIP message to my 3845, does that 486 get mapped to a pstn cause code of 17? And if so, does that 17 get indicated back upstream on the CAS T1? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
