Need a job fast

I need to get a job rather quickly, and wanted to throw this out to the masses.
My background is in WAN support, although its been a few years. If I couple that with a CCNA, I should get some bites, as there appears to be lots of demand for a CCNA in my area (Chicago and Northern 'burbs)
However, I don't necessarily like the hours, I know I can't be picky and would take whatever comes my way. My WAN jobs have been mostly lousy hours, not that I was a high level engineer or anything. I don't mind 2nd shift hours, but 3rd is rough. Plus, I've got two kids now, and the allure of working nights doesn't have the same appeal anymore. Although I would take anything thrown my way at this point.
Also, I have experience working on pcs and laptops, and have considered getting my A+, even though its less money, I would have thought it would be quicker to get a job that way, and it would require less initial studying to complete that cert.
My question is, why does it seem that there are way more ads for CCNA qualified people than A+? Is the demand less for pc/desktop guys/girls? Or do they get picked up that much faster??? or perhaps, the contracting agencies always have a bunch of pc/desktop techs on the ready to fill available jobs?
Or is is because the CCNA is a tougher exam, and a supply and demand sorta thing.
While I want to either get into server mgt/sys admin, security or voice, my big thing is I want to get a job, and start bringing in some money, and then I can focus on what I really want to do, rather than just grabbing a paying job.
I probably know what I should do, but would like some advice.
Thanks in advance
