    Hi nerdy dad. welcome :)

    as we where talking old PC's here's the first one I had.

    IBM Personal Computer - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    we had the IBM 5161 Expansion Chassis with two 10mb hard drives!!

    And we later got a second monitor for it. a 4 colour CGA...

    my them where they days :)

    Yeah, that there was money, I did see them laying about, but they were old tech by the time I was involved. Even though I used computers quite a bit back in the early 90's, I went about 6 years without one till about 2000, so I forgot more than I ever knew.

    Welcome NerdyDad. BTW my first system was an Atari 520ST and it was used for business reasons. Yes I've used punched cards, 300 baud modems (what speed!), and even slide rules!

    I've also been around Macs (because of my wife's graphic business) since '86 so don't feel embarrassed. One day the rest of the world will see the light icon_cheers.gif
    Oh I also play with dark side (m$).

    Uh-oh, looks like I need to change everything to geek. But I always heard geeks bite the heads off chickens in side shows, I don't want to do that, so I'll have to stick with nerd.
