Juniper Resident Engineer candidate

AldurAldur Member Posts: 1,460
Hey everybody,

I'm moving on from my current position, Resident Engineer for Juniper Networks, and so I'm looking for a qualified candidate to take my spot. The job is located in Edmonton Canada and would involve supporting a major telecom. Since this position is located in Canada, Canadian candidates would be preferred but US based candidates are acceptable. This is a full time salaried position that will contain full benefits, such as bonuses, health/vision/dental, paid vacation, possible relocation assistance, stock options. And lets not forget, it's working for Juniper :D

Candidates with Juniper experience and certifications would be preferred but this is not necessary. As long as a candidate has very strong networking skills and interpersonal communication skills they would be fine. Also, there's plenty of paid training and Juniper will pay for certifications.

Below is a general job description, please note that even though the description says minimum of 7 years experience this is not a hard set requirement. I had about 2 years experience when I applied and because I knew my stuff I was able to take the job. :)

Please let me know if there are any questions via PM or feel free to reply to this thread.

It's a up move :D I'm joining the Juniper Curriculum Development team which focuses on creating the Juniper courseware. So I'll be tied directly to the certification team so I'll have a hand in the direction Juniper goes there.

Big plus of the job is that it's a strictly remote job, so no more fighting traffic or riding next to stinky people on the bus ;)

Congrats and that's a great job from the sound of it. Will you still keep your moderator position here or would it create some type of confict of interest? It seems that if you stay here it should increase the presence of the Juniper forums.

Don't see why it would. Nobody here speaks in any official company capacity anyway and at the end of the day, it is just giving advice on publicly known information or techniques.
