Linux+ and LIPC1

So now that successful completion of the new CompTIA Linux+ Cert is also giving you your LPIC1 cert... is it safe to assume that LPIC study prep materials are also Linux+ study prep materials? Or are there some real differences in the two exams?

Since it is stated that L+ is based on LPIC-1, they are one and the same, LPI will be in charge of preparation of test questions. Hence, prep materials should be valid for both exams.
Mind though, that the older version of Linux+ is still available, but not for long, it's a single exam therefore cheaper, but with much broader scope than LPIC-1.
Good luck with your exams!:D
