Exchange 2003 Standard Edition and storage limit.
PiotrIr
There is a little of confusion for me about this so would like to ask somebody to help to understand. I know that database limit is 75GB but how many database or storage groups I can create in this version? What total storage can I get on Exchange 2003 Standard Edition?
Wikipedia says: “Exchange Server 2003 is available in two versions, Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition. Standard Edition supports up to two storage groups (with one of the storage groups, called the recovery storage group, being reserved for database recovery operations) and a maximum of 2 databases per storage group.” Does it mean that I can create second DB and get total 150GB storage space?

Before EX 2003 SP2 the limit in standard edition was actually 15 GB, shows you how far along we have come with Exchange, my 2010 server has only a hypothetical maximum. I would interpret Microsoft's documentation as indicating that you can have 2 databases at a maximum database size of 75 GB PER database.

Not exactly. You can create 2 databases per storage group, but that means one mailbox database and one public folder database (gotta have calendars and free/busy information). If you want additional mailbox databases, you will need to add another server.
