ESXI reallocate Harddrive memory?

hey guys

when you delete a vm or two doesn't esxi 3.5 delete that vm and free up
physical hard drive space again? I do not see it doing that on our Esxi server?

You'll need to either select Delete from Disk or go to CLI and manually remove it.
If you select Remove from Inventory the VM still stays on the datastore for you to re-register or delete.
    Hope this helps.

    Thanks ninja
I shoot too fast. I forgot after looking in Data center browser, I can delete
old VMS that may have been deleted from cluster viewer, but still reside on hard drive. I just went in and deleted a bunch of orphaned vms and that did
I should have looked longer but I do like that fact that it doesn't deleted them for good until lots of thought. Thanks man for the help...
