security database does no contain a trust accoun

I am trying to login to one of my computers I have in my network running XP. The DC is a 2003 machine. Every now and then when I try to log into the XP comptuer I get this message

"windows cannot connect to the domain, either because the domain controller is down or otherwise unavailable"

When I go into the System log, I see this message

"The session setup from computer "KM400" failed because the security database does no contain a trust account.

any ideas on why this happens time to time?
