How to renew the CCNA?

I'm curious - if I already have a CCNA and I needed to renew, could I just take, say, the CCNA-wireless? Would it renew my CCNA if I passed it? Or would I have to re-take the CCNA again? I know I could take a higher level cert, but I'm not sure that's the path I want to take.

Taking and passing any lateral or higher cert test will automatically refresh your certs by 3 years (unless it's a ccie, which is 2).

    Hi,

You can take the current ICND2 exam (which I did today to recertify) or any CCNA: concentration exam or any higher level exam.

    From:https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/community/certifications/ccna/syllabus

"CCNA certifications are valid for three years. To recertify, pass the ICND2 exam, or pass the current CCNA exam, or pass a CCNA Concentration exam (wireless, security, voice), or pass the current CCDA exam, or pass any 642 - XXX professional level or Cisco Specialist exam (excluding Sales Specialist exams), or pass a current CCIE or CCDE written exam."

Edit: This of course assumes you have a *valid* CCNA certification. ;)
