9X Boot process

I.O sys, MSDOS.sys and command.com are the startup files you would find on a boot up disk but the start-up order is I.O.sys, MSDOS.sys and Config.sys. Has this caught out anyone else in the prep tests? icon_redface.gif

    config.sys is not mandatory to boot. it loads optional devices.

    since it's optional that is probaby why it's not found.

    I'm not 100% sure but I think all the boot up disk are 100% identical.

    the items you found in config.sys different from machine to machine.
