I have a question for the SAMBA gods
I have a openSUSE 11.3 server with likewise thats already authenticationg with AD btu whenever I access a share it prompts me for a AD username and password.
Is there a way for it to grab the authenticated windows user's security token so that the user doesn't have to type in this info?

How to view and set LDAP policy in Active Directory by using Ntdsutil.exe
make sure you have the ldap pull the active directory, that way your users/groups will be on the active directory server and the ldap server. its almost like setting up an active directory mirror of sorts.wgu undergrad: done ... woot!!

For seamless usage, you need to setup winbindd and setup Samba and NSS to use it together. There are guides on how to do this. The samba.org site has the book available for free, online.2024 Renew: [ ] AZ-204 [ ] AZ-305 [ ] AZ-400 [ ] AZ-500 [ ] Vault Assoc.
