Sans gcfw
Hi,
I have 6 years of experience in areas related to information security. I have been planning to do GCFW for sometime now but my employer is not interested in paying such huge sum for a course, and unfortunately i can't afford it now.
So until i save enough money, i would like to just read some good books or online material available that is related to this course. I will be searching the web for the subtitles in the course material... but if you guys could suggest some good books that would be great.
I am comfortable in networking but haven't directly worked with Firewalls...

and perhaps anything dealing with IOS ACLs, IPsec, Snort, tcpdump, and iptables.
iptables is a really great / free firewall to learn from. If you have an IOS-based router (or an IOS image for GNS3) that'll get you started on standard and extended ACLs.Hopefully-useful stuff I've written: http://kimiushida.com/bitsandpieces/articles/
