Install W7 from USB Pen
Lee H
My laptop DVD drive isnt working and I need to re-install the OS
So as the title says, is it possible to just copy and paste all the files from a W7 disk and then simply boot to the USB Pen drive
Ive never done this or until now ever needed to hence my Q.
Thanks

Yes and no, you can get a PE disk onto a USB flash drive, but its not as easy as dragging the contents over.
A number of companies make a USB -> SATA converter that works nicely for stuff like this (assuming you can find any old sata dvd drive) and comes in handy for repairing hard drives, etc.
