Cabling between a cable modem and a computer

I was getting a longer connection between my cable modem and computer, and I can't remember if I need a straight-through or crossover cable. I know it's straight-through between a computer and switch, and switch to router, but I"m not sure where a cable modem falls (this is for my home). It's been so long since I've done any significant cabling.
Can anyone assist?

I can't promise anything, but I'm just saying.Currently PursuingWGU (BS in IT Network Administration) - 52%| CCIE:Voice Written - 0% (0/200 Hours)mikej412 wrote:Cisco Networking isn't just a job, it's a Lifestyle.
