Testing Center Scarcity
I am scheduled to take the Security+ exam on Monday. I work for a training company and we have a Pearson-Vue and Prometric testing center in our building. If you are having no luck scheduling the test, know that both testing providers offer the CompTIA exams.
Many testing centers also can provide a testing server that can have many more computers attached to it. We only have two Pearson-Vue machines and three Prometric seats available on any given day, but as we approach the end of this year, we are creating a classroom where many more users can test. You may want to enquire with your local center if they can expand their available seats.
Most testing centers also schedule their people for a full two hours per test. If you go to a location and get put on standby, you may find that they can squeeze you in between a fast test taker. Hope these tips help and good luck!
