Traffic Generator NEEDED

Guys - I've been tasked with finding the BEST traffic generator software for lab/mock/testing. Money truly is NOT an issue. I'm going to start researching now on what's out there - but I wanted to see if the guru's here have any suggestions.

Just to give an idea of our little lab - we have a lab full of Nexus 7K/5K - and more routers you can shake a stick at. We really have more money than we know what to do with it seems sometimes. So even if the software is astronomical - let me know!!

If money is truly not an issue look at this company, IXIA.
Ixia - Leader in Converged IP Testing

Best products on the market imo, and pretty good support to. To boot, they offer rentals....very expensive, but rentals nonetheless. We just used them for a datacenter bakeoff, but mainly looking at IOPS. We had some free trials of their networking stuff though, and it looked equally bad a$$.

Thanks Jason - that looks pretty interesting.

As for the money aspect - we're a fortune 500 company and I was told today that we have a large surplus in our budget that has to be spent or we lose it.

I was told to make a wish list and "don't worry about the price tag"

I'm going to look further into Ixia - but so far their stuff looks pretty good.

We have the Spirent TestCenter and it works out pretty well for us.
