Almost late to the party here...
I just got back from taking the exam today...passed at 7:15PM EST (took the last possible exam time in the region). I might be one of the last to get the lifetime cert. Score was 859. Used DG's digital book and read the whole thing in about 24 hours. Used a few other (older) guides/practice tests that I had as well. Got a few questions that were not in anything I studied, but experience helped with those. DG's book was remarkably fun to read in the process.

Nice job passing at the very last possible time. I think many of us on the forums scrambled to get these certs done and over with before the end of the year (I went for Network+ and Security+ 2 weeks ago, 2 days apart).
