Largest Recruiting/Temp Firms in NYC?

What are the largest recruiting firms that operate in the NYC area? I want to be sure I'm not missing an important one. Thanks!

edit - Also, when employers perform searches on job sites like Monster, do the searches hit only resumes or profiles as well?

There are a BUNCH of staffing agencies in the city. I have used and heard from quite a few so i will list the ones i know about.

Peak organization - They seem to mainly do deployments though. Not bad when you are fresh to the field but personally...Bores me to no end. Pay is usually around 17 - 20/hr but only for 1 - 3 days work at a time. Its a new year so I'm sure they will be picking up.

Apex - They have a wide array of different jobs and gigs but they don't seem to pay that much. 12/hr is better than nothing but when you have to pay a toll and gas, it doesn't add up.

Robert Half - A bit more advanced. They wouldn't be looking for entry level people but I have seen a few jobs there that were on the level and for good money.

Axelon - I only included this one because I just got an email about a position no more than 5 minutes ago. 11/hr but reimbursement for tolls, mileage, and parking. Depending on how much they par per mile it may not be too bad.

StaffIT - had a run-in with them a month or so ago. I really wanted this windows 7 gig they had but the company that contracted them filled it through other means.

Kelly IT staffing - Don't know too much about them but i heard its another 12/hr kind of place.

If you put your resume on Careerbuilder (just to name one) they will come calling in due time. I have had staffing agencies call me from different states to do work in NYC. Hope that helped.
The first three are the biggest ones that i know of, but i didn't go out and find them. They found me.
