Duration of the 70-647?

I dont think this topic really warrants a new thread, but I'll post it anyways so more folks can respond to it.

I just booked my retake for the 647, and noticed that the exam duration is back to 4 hours. Last time I booked the same exam, it said the duration was 2:30 hours. Anyone else seen this?

Am I just dreaming or did someone mention there were going to be some scenario based questions? The reason I ask is so I dont have any surprises when I go in again. And is the scenario going to be a sim like there were in the 83-640 or something like they describe a company's infrastructure and ask a slew of multiple-choice questions?

TIA.

I had 4 hours allocated for the 643 exam according to the information Prometric gave me, though the actual exam time was 2 hours 30 minutes. They seem to be playing silly buggers with the timings.

I understand 647 does now contain the 4 scenario's as I mentioned in the other 647 thread. I've booked this exam just waiting for Prometric to confirm.

I think it will contain scenario based question not simulation othewise the exam number should've been changed (to 83-647 or something) .

I did get 4 scenarios in my 70-646 exam each of them with around 6-7 questions. I wouldn't about those questions there is a case study that you need to read carefully then they will throw in a bunch of questions.

In your 646, I am sure you could switch back and forth between the case study and its questions, right?

Hmm I wish you asked me at that time icon_rolleyes.gif I don't remember to be honest but I think the answer is yes you can come back and review I'm not 100% sure however.

One thing I am sure of is that when I took the exam time was barely enough to finish but if it is 4 hours now then time is not an issue.

Yeah, that Microsoft for you. I had 90 minutes when I went in for my first attempt at the 647. When I had spent over 30 minutes for the first 12-13 questions, I knew I was in trouble.
