Good book to use for A+ cert
I just passed both the Core Hardware and OS exams (682 on hardware, 678 on OS). The OS seemed a lot harder than the Hardware exam, but on finishing, my score was almost identical. There was a lot of nitpicky stuff on the OS exam (pathways, lots of filenames, etc).
I've noticed a lot of posts here asking for good reference material for the A+ cert. The book I read was called A+ Training Guide, fifth edition, by Charles J. Brooks, ISBN 0-7897-3044-8. It was the only material I studied for the exams, and I passed them with a fairly decent score. So if you're looking for a good study guide, I'd highly recommend this one.
Good luck to anybody taking the tests.
