IT training advice, helpdesk or NOC?

Hello,
I will hopefully have my CCNA by the end of March. I do not work in IT at the moment, and have my goal to be in IT before I hit 25 years old in November.
I have been primarily looking up junior networking roles and the odd helpdesk position. I think I would get a helpdesk job much sooner then anything else, so I have been considering getting the A+ and the MCITP to improve my chances.
I recently found a few overnight NOC jobs which I would really like to do. Its saturday and sunday, 7pm to 7am. I would personally love to do this and would do anything to get it. Would an A+ and MCITP be any use gunning for a NOC job? Or would Linux + really benefit me more then the other two?
Lastly, just a quick sidenote. I have an old pc hidden away somewhere. Could I completely wipe the drive of windows and install Ubuntu over it?
Kai.

If you want to get into networking then start with the Net+ and then go for the Sec+. A+ isn't a bad idea but it's up to. Besides that, a CCNA is great but it can be a large mountain to climb.
If you want to do helpdesk, then an A+, Net+, Sec+ and an MCITP:SA/EA would be a good start.
As for your old PC, sure you could. It's your PC, do what you what you want with it."No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and he's not the same man." -Heraclitus -

CCENT then CCNA and JNCIA (Juniper Networks). If you truly master, learn and lab those certifications to the core, you will adapt to Net+ and A+ knowledge out of convention.
If you have the time and money, get them for sure. It's just I would prioritize to specialization asap, as I am doing now for my area's current market.
EDIT: phantasm has a good point as well for the helpdesk tract, especially with the SA/EA as a final pit stop after a CompTIA trio. If you truly down the material, you will be more than sufficient for any Analyst level Helpdesk position from what I've seen.
