There's no certification attached to this, but I hope this might be the right forum for it. Has anyone taken this course or know anyone who has? This might be available near my area later this year and it looks pretty complimentary to the GCIA.
Here's the description from the recent Black Hat in DC a few weeks ago:

Bejtlich has been teaching this class for a while now. I've only heard good things about it.

Have you looked at the Wireshark courses? I know it probably wouldn't be in the same league but I am curious if it is worth the 700 bucks... -

I'd assume those Wireshark University courses map to the WCNA path. The last few chapters of the Wireshark Network Analysis book goes through some of the security-oriented topics. I'm under the impression that a course following the WCNA curriculum wouldn't be too in-depth relative to courses that specialize specifically in the security perspective of things. While I'm sure it would still increase my analysis-fu, I need something that would kick me in the rear and show me how pathetic my skills are.Hopefully-useful stuff I've written: http://kimiushida.com/bitsandpieces/articles/
