MCITP Journey....Please give tips tricks etc

OK so I currently have my MCSA am going to upgrade to the MCITP. I know the 648 and 646 will give me the MCITP-SA which i will be using the Microsoft press books and then the CBT nuggets videos. I have a friend that has server 2008 r2 up and I will remote into the server to do some hands on. I have some experience in server, but little with 2008. Is 6 months to the MCITP-EA a decent goal? It looks like 5 total tests.

It depends upon the amount of time you can dedicate to studying but it is doable.
Also if you take the 648 you'll have to take the 643 647 and 680 (or 620 but I recommend the 680) so you would take 4 tests for just the MCITP:EA and 5 if you also want the MCITP:SA. One thing to note there is material from the 70-643 on the 70-646 test so it may benefit you to take the 643 first before doing the 646 if you are planning to get both the SA and EA.
