Remove Canceled meetings from calender automatically

Does anyone know of a way to make a resource box remove canceled meetings automatically? I logged in as the resource in OWA and it is set to automatically handle meeting requests and cancellations but when someone cancels a meeting, it stays on the calender. I have attempted to look at some resources but I can't find a clear cut answer. I don't have much experience with Exchange and feel lost. This is making me ponder doing 70-236 sooner than I expected. Thanks for any ideas and thoughts!
