Got Darril Gibsons book(Kindle version) is it too late to study for sy0-201?

I have a consistent study planned out where I should be finished with reading the book and ready for the exam in about a month. I noticed that the new SY0-301 objectives are out... So two questions:

1:Am I missing out by taking the 201 exam instead of SY0-301?
2:Is it too late to take SY0-201?

I would just go ahead and study. The 301 test isn't even out yet and even then you still have 6 months after to take the test.

201 and 301 won't be that much different, except 301 is supposedly going to have more "cases" that you will need to troubleshoot rather than just blanket conceptual knowledge.
