Cisco UCS: Nobody does this??

Cisco has a certification program that combines VMware skills and UCS infrastructure skills. I find very little information on this, most people focus on the telecom side of Cisco. Has anybody looked into this program?

A buddy of mine did it. He works for a large managed services provider. He said he enjoyed doing the cert.

I have a friend who works for a VAR that's currently working on this. Interesting stuff. He had to get his VCP in the process.

The hardware is pretty expensive still. You almost have to work for a partner to get any experience is what it seems like to me. And yes, VCP is needed to complete the data center exams certs pertaining to this hardware. This is a path that has always interested me.

I took and passed the UCS exam, which was actually pretty easy. I don't have the cert though because I don't have experience with FWSM, NAM, Nexus 7K, or MDS.
