So I'm studying for the 70-680 exam with MS's self-paced training kit.
In a section where it mentions how you can remount orphaned images with DISM, it gives you: dism /remount-wim /mount:c:\mountedimages.
My question is what exactly is an orphaned image? The book doesn't seem to explain this nor could I find any info on Google other than how to remount it.
TIA

While I have not heard the term "orphaned", they're referring to a corrupted image, which the /remount-wim repairs...
A little info here: Unmount and Clean up a Wim Image using Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM)
