I'm just curious, if I took all of the skillsets from the MCITP:EA and took each bit extremlely seriously, mastered the arts, troubleshooted multiple issues, setup my own farms and clusters, could I make a career out of it?
I am starting to enjoy the Windows Server environment more than Cisco and Juniper ones... Just like my father did 10-15 years ago. It's strange how you unknowingly seem to fall into footsteps.
I didn't even know he certified 'anything until a week ago, and his accomplishment list was... well, 30+ was what I could comprehend from his transcript.
Anyways, no more rambling, back to the topic!

Even then, I would be leery of touching the production network without having demonstrable experience. You can certainly make a career out of what your saying, but you got to choose a particular field (AD/Exchange for example) and be really good at it.
