Need help with creating small network for ICDN practice?

in CCNA & CCENT
I want to create a small simple network using Packet Tracer to practice two things
a) assign IP addresses to each interfaces
b) configure static, then RIP
PC
Switch01----router01
serial cable----router02
switch02
PC
My first question is, how many IP addresses will I need for this network?
10?
There are three network in this diagram correct?
a) assign IP addresses to each interfaces
b) configure static, then RIP
PC
Switch01----router01
serial cable----router02
switch02

you'd need 6 i think ? you wouldnt need any on the switches unless you wanted to play around with management vlans etc
you would need an ip for each pc and all the router interfaces that have cables connecting to another router or switch._____________________________________

you will need 3 network for testing routing.
2 for each side of the routers and one to connect the routers together.
you could use Class A for 1 network 10.0.0.0/8, class b for another 172.16.0.0/16 and class b for the other 192.168.1.0/24 if you like to keep it simple.

You are correct, for that layout three networks needed. Given what you want to practice, I'd use 8 IP addresses.---
