Recover files from a reimage laptop

So my coworker was being careless and reimage a laptop and forgot to copy several pst. What are the chance of recovering those files? What software do you guys recommend? Is it even worth it to try?

GetDataBack for NTFS, if you are lucky but at least it's free to try anyway. -

I've had success with using Free Data Recovery Software
Just cross your fingers that what you are trying to recover is not corrupt or been written over multiple times.
