Video buffering?
SephStorm
I'm trying to watch videos for a class and I find that when watching the videos, the movies are constantly buffering. Now I have a high speed connection and no other part of my connection appears to be affected.
Specifically I can start the video which one video is lets say 15 minutes long, pause it to let it "load" for lets say 10 minutes, I come back and it plays for maybe 60 seconds before it starts buffering again. This will not do for a class with approx 30 videos, some over 90 minutes in length. Any suggestions?

I don't know the exact situation but Firefox (and others browser may have) has a lot of streaming video down-loaders so you can download them. Then play the file with a media player. You just need to search for them in Add-ons.

I have a few video downloaders, but they seem to be relatively ineffective in this case. The videos are presented through adobe connect pro. heres a similar situation. I can do a screen capture, but when it takes forever to view the presentation, it doesnt work well.
UPDATE: I figured out how to snag the video, not to shabby if i say so myself, but there has to be some kind of server side limitatation, this 15 min video is taking about 2 hrs to dl. But its better than what I had. I have to ask, why do companies have these restrictions? (bandwidth restrictions)

Has to be too many people streaming at the same time. Maybe try it late at night or the weekend for faster times. Hopefully you don't have to wait 6 hours for that 90 minute video, not exactly on-demand learning is it. I would complain to whoever hosts the stream.

I don't think so, my connection rarely is affected by use from other customers in my area. As for the other end, I was able to use one of the programs on my PC, and when I enabled the P2P capability, my download time decreased significantly.
