Hi guys,

My company currently uses Vivantio with around 10 users, but we are seeking to expand the number of users and are looking for possible alternatives to Vivantio. Ideally we are looking for something which provides the same level of functionality but is a bit cheaper. If you guys have any suggestions for good alternatives that are reasonably priced then that would be great.

Dan

Not sure what features your current solution has, but Spiceworks (Free Network Monitoring Software | Spiceworks Free Network Management Software) is free and quite impressive for what it is.
    MCTS: Windows Vista, Configuration

    Check out http://www.eduphoria.net/products/helpdesk/

Runs on My SQL (license is around $600.00) and the HelpDesk licenses is/was around $300. Web based and does not take a lot of server power to run.

They will give you an online demo and even set it up in test mode for you to play with and evaluate.

Excellent tech support on this system that is included in the price. It's geared toward education but can be configured any way you choose.

When you consider HEAT costing over $12K after server/MSSQL licenses and HEAT license, it's a bargain for a very flexible system.

Let us know what you decide to purchase.
