Laptop CPU on 100%

Hi

As title says, I have a laptop that is stuck on 100% CPU

I made a mistake of high lighting about 10 word documents and right clicking then selecting Print

It then opened up Office 2007 several times then grinding to a halt

Have rebooted about 6 times every time it comes on CPU is on 100%

Nothing in the running tasks are taking up more memory than necessary

Any ideas? running Windows 7 64-bit

    What's taking up CPU? Kernel?

Reboot in safe mode. Delete word recovery files (assume you have the files saved). Reboot again in normal. That's all I could think of. Oh... don't forget chkdisk.

I have managed to turn off the Print Spooler service and the CPU drops

Soon as I turn it back on shoots up to 100% again

Scratching my head with this one!!

    Thanks for your help

Have you checked all the print ques on the computer? Do they have print jobs in them? Delete them if so. Have you tried system restore to restore back to a point prior to opening all the documents? Have you run procmon and procexp to see if there is anything else coming up?
