Hi All,
I have a Cisco ASA 5505 which currently has 256MB RAM and 128MB Flash.
I am running ASA Version 8.2(4) and ASDM Version 6.4(1).
The IOS seems to be running fine as well as the ASDM.
ciscoasa# show memory
Free memory: 122271024 bytes (46%)
Used memory: 146164432 bytes (54%)
Total memory: 268435456 bytes (100%)
When I reload the ASA, the IOS loads up correctly, when I unplug the main power cable it keeps booting into rommon mode.
Configuration register is 0x1
Does anyone know why this could be happening?
Thanks...

Even if you have only one image in flash manually enter a boot system command pointing to it to explicitly update the variable. We responded to the Year 2000 issue with "Y2K" solutions...isn't this the kind of thinking that got us into trouble in the first place?
