Cisco ASA 5505 – Rommon Mode Issue
RS_MCP
Hi All,
I have a Cisco ASA 5505 which currently has 256MB RAM and 128MB Flash.
I am running ASA Version 8.2(4) and ASDM Version 6.4(1).
The IOS seems to be running fine as well as the ASDM.
ciscoasa# show memory
Free memory: 122271024 bytes (46%)
Used memory: 146164432 bytes (54%)
Total memory: 268435456 bytes (100%)
When I reload the ASA, the IOS loads up correctly, when I unplug the main power cable it keeps booting into rommon mode.
Configuration register is 0x1
Does anyone know why this could be happening?
Thanks...

What is the bootvariable set to ( show bootvar) ? Even if you have only one image in flash manually enter a boot system command pointing to it to explicitly update the variable.
