Cisco 4700 router (quit old i think!) but what are those cards in there? Are they 8/16 way serial connectors as used in a terminal server?

I call those door stoppers. They work real well when you shove them in the door to keep it open.

    They look like NP-2T16S-232V35's
There is no place like 127.0.0.1

Are there any part numbers/identifiers listed on the Network Processor Modules?

You can see the one on the left is an Ethernet Module.

Just looking at the connectors you might have an NP-2T16S-yadayadayada -- which could be similar to an NM-16A/S or NM-8A/S depending on whether that's an RS232 connector (and whether you figure out how to connect to it and wire it) -- or an X21 or V35 etc.

    Edit: I'd guess an RJ-21 connector :D

mgeorge - no good as a terminal server then? I realise the 4000 is pretty useless, I've already got a 4000 that Im about to bin, but this looked a cheap way of getting a terminal server.
