I just took the 70-680 and passed. Currently Im studying for for the 70-685 but my qustion is should i stick with the new stuff instead of testing for the 70-270 Xp? I heard that MS extended support for Win XP till 2014, and many jobs are still asking for XP skills. SO i was wondering if it was even worth taking the 70-270 test? thanks in advance for the advice guys.

Slowhand Mod Posts: 5,161 ModAt this stage, I'd say it's a waste of both time and money taking the 70-270 exam. You already have the Windows 7 exam under your belt, so you wouldn't need the XP test to go towards the Systems Administrator| MCSA | Microsoft Certified Systems AdministratorMCSE and it doesn't apply towards the MCITP: Enterprise Administrator cert. Also, 70-270 doesn't give you a stand-alone cert, as is the case with 70-620 and 70-680, both of which give you MCTS status on their respective topics.
Most of the skills you'll need to manage XP you can learn through the certification-studies for newer versions of the OS. For anything you get stuck on, there's always the option to buy a good admin-book or two.
