2620XM fan

EildorEildor Member Posts: 444
I've noticed that the cooling fan on the 2620XM is on the bottom of the unit... wont this be a problem when I stack it on other switches/routers? I don't have a rack, just stacking the units on top of each other.

If you imagine it even if you put them in a rack unless you leave a 1U gap between each router then the same will happen, which would be a waste of space.

I agree its a strange design though why they didnt have the fan on the side or the rear.

For this reason, when I used my 2500/2600 routers, I stacked them slightly shifted, mixed with other equipment:

    Thank you for the replies.

I thought of stacking them differently too :D I'll see how it goes, think it should be fine, they aren't going to be on all day anyway.
