Theoretically speaking.. Hotel (overseas) with 100 lines. Location, Columbia lol I dont even know whats avail in regards to access of there, but I have a friend who wants to build out a hotel there and needs some advice.

He wants Cisco.

Platform, CME since we dont have enough demand for CM.

Would you go sip or pri with analog fall back. Or combination SIP and Pri..

My gut tells me to go PRI for the stability but in regards to cost, go SIP..

Whats your thought ?

No idea what is available in the country, but I did meet someone during an INE bootcamp that runs a telco/calling card business in the country that I might be able to dig up his contact info. He could probably answer your questions on what would be most cost effective. Ill pm you if I find it ;)

I assume the 100 lines are non DIDs? just extensions? Would a single T1 be enough?

Pref DID lines.. from what i understand.. DID's are very cheap compared to the cost of the trunk.

I need to do more research but I think a single T1 dedicated to voice should be sufficient as all 100 lines wont be used at the same time. Sip's bw savings using g729 would be a bit better.

so yes, GT if you do have a contact, that would be great. Thank you.
