Congrats man. What materials did you use? How long did it take for you to learn the material?
It took me over a year of NetAcad courses for me to feel confident enough to take the exam, but I passed both on my first attempts.Current Goals: CCNP and RHCSA -

It took me over a year of NetAcad courses for me to feel confident enough to take the exam, but I passed both on my first attempts.
I took a year of NetAcad courses at Northwest Vista College in San Antonio back in 2009 but delayed taking the first exam in August 2010 because I wasn't 100% confident. So in the meantime I studied my old notes, practiced Packet Tracer and picked up a ton of info from these sites:
Networking Topics - Internetwork Training
Index of /tutorials/ccna
Cisco Router Configuration Commands
**** Sheets - Packet Life
Router Alley - Guides
Free CCNA Workbook
...and countless other reference sites that helped me to understand things better.
But I'm not gonna rest for too long long; I wanna get moving onto preparing for the ICND2 and CompTIA +A. But I'll savor this milestone in my IT journey.
Now if you'll excuse me...............I hear Bacardi 151 calling my name.NEXT UP: CompTIA Security+ :study:

Sounds like a good idea, but don't burn out too many brain cells!I usually hang out on 224.0.0.10 (FF02::A) and 224.0.0.5 (FF02::5) when I'm in a non-proprietary mood.

Very nice!!Congrats on your pass!! These success stories help motivate me!! I'm trying to gather all of the brain cells that I can, I lost a lot learning how to subnet in my head and VLSMs with summarizing. Next I begin the IOS commands..wonder how many more brain cells i'm gonna lose

Congrats on passing!
If you specifically need A+ material, (and are still in San Antonio) I have two or three A+ 2009 version books here. A friend used them to pass comfortably within the past few months, so the material is valid.Currently Working: CCIE R&S
