SSD Problem

Different PC this time so not same issue as other thread
I have Compaq nc6320 and trying to use a VERTEX SATA II 30Gig SSD
But I am getting very low read and write speeds
Not even sure if I have a SATA II motherboard but many websites saying to enable AHCI but I dont have that option all I have is
NATIVE SATA MODE - ENABLED
HD Tune Pro: OCZ-VERTEX Benchmark
Test capacity: full
Read transfer rate
Transfer Rate Minimum : 54.7 MB/s
Transfer Rate Maximum : 105.8 MB/s
Transfer Rate Average : 84.4 MB/s
Access Time : 0.127 ms
Burst Rate : 112.9 MB/s
CPU Usage : 14.5%
can anyone shed any light, and would I be better going back to my 320Gig SATA 54RPM drive
