Using IPV4 addresses in ipv6
hellopaul2000mail
Hi all
Hope your all studying hard for CCNP.
Been reading up a lot on ipv6 lately as it was my weak subject on my last exam. I have cam across the subject of embedding ipv4 addresses in ipv6 addresses. Has anyone done this.
I have tried configuring this on one of my 3640 routers but not having much luck
Command: ipv6 address ::10.0.0.1
I am unsure what mask to put on the address
Any mask i put on throws up an invalid error or if i miss the mask the command is in completed.
Seams to be a lack of info on this too
Thanks in advance
