Site to site vpn config - rap song - music to study by

flipmadflipmad Member Posts: 184
I did this once before and it helped me tremendously. I was having trouble remember the step by step process of configuring a site-to-site VPN. So last night I wrote and recorded this song. Quality is decent, but definitely listenable. I used to have a studio to record these in, now I gotta use my crappy laptop

I was thinking about starting to write these regularly and create a videos along with it.

It might not be your thing, but it certainly helps me. I also have a slowed down version for the hearing impaired.

Enjoy..or not..it may be helpful for some

I think I will post the lyrics on the video if people are interested. Maybe make it easier to digest. Again, I put this together quick..

I honestly honestly honestly cannot understand what you're saying. Mostly because the music is louder than you are and the echos kinda mess with what you're saying.

    It's a good idea though.

It could have been the compression. The orginal file, I played in my car and was actually very balanced. Again, I recorded these before on studio equipment and it was muuch clearer. This mic I am using is horrible and the layering on this program gives it an echo..

Thanks for looking. I may just delete it. It works for me.

i raised the vocals a bit and killed that layering effect and reuploaded

    "Step one: the A - C - L
that defines the traffic that passes, if not, oh well!"

"... the lifetime number is whatever you choose ..."

"...now you put the crypto map on the interface too
and you can connect to the other side dude"

    Hahahaha.

Now I'm going to be saying to myself "the lifetime number is whatever you choose" whenever I look at a VPN setup for the rest of my life ... thanks.

    This is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am serious, this is really cool!!! I downloaded the video already, just ripping the audio from it so I can show the guys in the office (don't worry I'll give them your link and all the street rep for the verse)... ;)

I did a remix to 50 Cents PIMP song when I got my CCNP... " I'm a CCNP, I don't know what you heard about me, I'm the man from layer 1 to layer 3..."

But this my dear friend is awesome, coming from someone else that is in networking and raps in his spare time I can see where you're coming from.

Please PM if you want and I could maybe do some videos for you if you need some help, for people like us this is a really great way to study, I understood everything you said fine...

    Sheer brilliance...

btw my exam is on monday, and I will definitely be spitting this to myself while I'm in testing center (only if its just me and the test administrator)... :)

    Kind Regards,
    David

Here's the lyrics. I listened to this like fifteen times today (at least).

If you find an error, then you have a template to correct, at the least :D

    V - P - N ... Rock Star!

    I'm gonna instruct
Explain how to set it up
A lotta details, everybody listen up
    First up ..

    The C-L-I
Just free up your mind with this configuration guys

    Step one, the A-C-L
Defines the traffic that passes, if not, oh well

Now I'm going tell you it takes a whole lotta memory
    Eventually
It'll all stick like some celery

    Step two,
    Isakmp policy dude
    Time to choose
All the parameters that it use

crypto isakmp and type a policy number
Encryption type just to keep all of the wonder

Hash type sha, md5 if you dared
    Next line is authentication pre-shared

    Diffie-Hellman group what? it's usually 2
And the lifetime number is whatever you choose

Type exit, and put a pre-shared key
    Crypto isakmp key
    pass address and IP

And don't forget, the transform set
I'm breaking down all the configuration up next
    Crypto i-p-sec
    transform set
name e-s-p encryption is all set

The crypto map binds everything together
Like a needle and a thread when you're knitting up a sweater

    Crypto map name i-p-sec
    Isakmp next
Don't forget the peer's remote IP address
The transform set's name once again
Match Address A-C-L is next up my friends

Now you put the crypto map on the interface too
And you can connect to the other side dude!

That was pretty cool man. Something different and not a bad way to remember if you need an unorthodox way of studying! icon_thumright.gif

That was cool, reminds me of this
