70-648 Questions

Hi all,
Just had a few questions on 70-648.
1. Since this is a combo of 640 and 642, does it not get as in depth as each one of those?
2. This is a SINGLE test, correct?
3. Prepping for 640 and 642 is the ideal method of study?
4. Is this just that much more difficult because of the extended amount of content? Should I just do 640 and 642 separately to make it easier on myself (in terms of amount of content needed to go through)?
Thanks!

2. Yes, there are 2 parts
3. Yes
4. Yes, It depends on how quick you want to remove the Band-Aid, so to speak. -

1. As it's an upgrade exam, there is an assumption that there is a level of understanding already. You still need to know the content but it shouldn't be all new.
2. Yes, a single exam in two parts - 2 X 29 questions.
3. No, I used the MS Press 70-648 book, CBT nuggets for 70-648 and Technet for any R2 related info.
4. Difficulty is subjective. I found this easier to study for than 70-291. I made the decision to go for the upgrade rather than take two and am glad of it. I might have a different view if I had failed.... -

One last question...this will be my first 2008 test, so how do you compare the questions to the 2003/ XP style questions? Do you get the same feel for them?
Or do the 2008 exams have a completely different feel to them? -

However, it does look like it would be a bit easier to go with the upgrade rather than two individual tests.. -
tru504187211 Member Posts: 27 ■□□□□□□□□□Just decided to split up the content and do 640 and 642...on separate days
The job reimburses me anyways! No loss! -

Good luck with the exams mate. -
Truelies Member Posts: 16 ■□□□□□□□□□I had a really bad experience with 70-292 - the upgrade from MCSA 2000 to MCSA 2003... I'm wondering if 70-648 is infamous as the old 70-292...
I think that I will try it one time only (not 4 times as 70-292 failed always with score 696), I prefer to fight vs one of them at a time
Any hints is really appreciated as always!
Thanks! -
