Exam Cram Book Question

i'm going through exam cram praciicetest book(4th Ed. pg.20) and 1 of the questions say this

69.what can you do to increase the link between RAM and the processors?

a.increase the RAM
b.increase the L1 and L
c.use faster disks
d.use larger paging files

answer is B

my question is , how can you increase L1 and/or L2 ? i though this was not able to be done.

i guess the question is worded wrong.
anyways L1 and L2 cache is responsible for link performance between cpu and ram. It is found in the CPU.

i guess the question should have been more like
"Increased ______ results in a faster link between the cpu and ram"

yes, this is the only thing i can think of as well.
which is an expansive thing to do just to increase your L1 and/or L2
