What do you think of Microsoft technet?
I have resolved so many O/S problems/errors with Technet, sometimes they don't always have the solution but for the most common things they do. If it's not on Technet you can do a search on the internet and find that someone has had the same problems as you. I think the internet is such a good tool when it comes to troubleshooting, where would we be without it?

cheeblie Member Posts: 288I think it's a good third or fourth reference for any Microsoft exam, and can be very useful should you have any problems. I use it quite often, and I think it's very important to my learning.

Webmaster Admin Posts: 10,292 AdminBesides being an excellent resource to prepare for an exam, TechNet is an essential tool for every serious MS admin, you just can't do your job at best without TechNet.... How can you know that a certain service, that should run perfectly, fails because you use XXX and YYY on the same server and configured them using ZZZ settings... right you can't. No matter how much studying you'll do, there will always be new bugs and security issues that you might, or might not, encounter on a particular configuration.
(Yes, I did say prepare, if you have the time to go through many articles, you can pass almost any MS exam by using information from TechNet.) -
bellboy Member Posts: 1,017it has helped me solve some problems over the years. google is my first port-of-call usually though.
it has cleared up some things in study, too, but, so far, i have not used it as a study tool. i know i should.A+ Moderator -
Webmaster Admin Posts: 10,292 AdminI agree, google is superior, I used it several times daily to do some background research for practice exams or TechNotes.
When I got my MCSE NT 4, I received the TechNet free for a full year, after that you could get it for half the price. I also included Release Candidate and beta version of all the latest software... I really think it is invaluable if you want to stay ahead.
