CCNP
Where do I begin?
jwashington1981
I just recently earned my CCNA about two weeks ago, and I'm now considering going after my CCNP. I see that it is composed of three different tests: ROUTE, SWITCH, and TSHOOT. For those who are going after the CCNP or those who have already earned the CCNP, which test would you advise to study for first?

You actually have to choose between Route and switch because you want to leave the tshoot to for last.
I think you should go for the test that you like the best. Do you like routers or switches?
In my case, I took route first.

I definitely think I like routers more than switches. he he he. I guess that answers that question then. Now I just need to get my hands on the Cisco Press books for the CCNP. I plan on getting the 3 book library.

Done my ROUTE, doing SWITCH now. Imho SWITCH is easier to pickup after CCNA, it builds very well on top of the basic knowledge carried over. ROUTE topics go very far in depth and take longer to prepare for examination. my .02c.
