How difficult is CEH Test ?

Hello every one,

I have almost 3 years experience in all, working mainly in Identity and Access management, some practical experience in PKI, Cryptography, Strong Auth ...

Still working to improve my theoretical knowledge about IT security.

I want to take CEH exam in the medium-term, but dont know how difficult is.

My knowledge about hacking is theoretical, I have no practical experience.

Before starting studies for CEH I want to know how difficult is this certification, is it requiring sharp skills in hacking ? or just serious preparation and practical labs can be the way to pass ?

My opinion based on the current exam is that practical experience will do you much better than studying exam questions. But you dont need to be a pen tester, you need to get some experience using the tools of the trade. Grab a computer, throw some vm's on it and learn the CEH process. Use and learn the best tools in each step of the process. Do this and you will do fine.
