MPLS VPN internet access

Hey all,
I'm just going through the MPLS Fundamentals book on safari and was wondering: what is the most popular method of providing internet access for a customer through an MPLS VPN?
I have labbed up all of the methods talked about in the book and by the far the easiest (from the SP and customer point of view) seems to be having the customer using a static route to the ISP, and have the ISP use the ip route vrf ... global command then redistribute static routes into BGP. Then again, the easiest solution (not necessarily simplest) in IT is often the worst or most insecure :P
