Two Interviews on Monday

So I have two interviews on Monday with two separate companies.

1. Is for a position as a vulnerability analyst for a Bank. It is pretty interesting how I actually got to the interview point. A couple of months ago I applied for a position at the company that was in records management. I didn't hear anything from them (which is pretty normal) and I went about my business. I then got an email from a person in their HR department asking I give her call about a position they had available. I called and she started telling me about seeing my resume and that they had a position as a vulnerability analyst that they hadn't posted yet that I seem to fit. So I setup a phone interview and they posted the position a few days later so I could see what it entailed. The manager for the department called me and we spoke for over an hour (was suppose to be 30 minutes). Monday I have an in-person interview that should last about 2 hours.

2. This position is as a traveling security consultant. It was advertised as an entry level position and is work from home (when not traveling). Mainly appears to be pen testing and social engineering.

Should be fun!

Good luck! You seem pretty calm. I hope you do well. I have two interviews on Tuesday and I'm a bit nervous... but I think that's normal.

I'm always calm prior and get a little nervous moments before. In this case, for the first job, I've already did well on the phone interview. Plus, I've interviewed for a position a lot like it before and got the offer. Finally, I've been through a lot of interviews thus far in my career so the nervousness goes away. Best advice I ever got was from a freshmen 101 class (covered resumes, interviewing, etc) where my teacher told us to interview for positions even if you weren't really looking as it is a skill you'll want to keep fresh. Thanks all!

Finished the first interview and felt it want pretty good. Company is a start-up and seemed pretty good. They are interviewing a couple of other candidates and said they would contact me with the next steps in the process. Will be leaving shortly for my next interview!

Second interview didn't go as well as I had hoped, seemed like they truly need someone with a good amount of experience. Oh well, back to the grind....
