I hate to ask this but just to clarify..
A NIC as far as Comptia is concerned is a layer 2 device?
I know this is like beating a very dead horse, but I'm writing the test on 4/15 and I'm getting a little jittery......

A NIC has both layer 1 and layer 2 functions. This topic has been discussed several times before. You might want to try a search
